Guitar & Ukulele Lessons for Children

Finding a music teacher for your child can be a challenge. It’s not easy to find someone who is trustworthy and who has the skills and experience to guide your child on his or her personal musical journey with a sense of wonder and fun. Your child deserves the very best any guitar teacher has to offer and you surely want them to thrive in a safe, open environment.

Gary Vogensen is an experienced musician and performer. Contact Gary for lesson availabilty.

For Parents & Caregivers

I’ve been in my studio at Tall Toad Music for 28 years. I usually work with the door open and parents are always welcome to sit outside and freely observe the lesson. When I’m working with the door closed on cold days or when the store is noisy (it’s a guitar store after all!), parents have the option of sitting in the studio with us or observing through my clear glass window.

Fun with Dad…

My commitment to you is that your child will learn the tools necessary to find his or her way in the world of music in a fun and structured environment that’s designed for your child’s personality. I do not use a “one size fits all” approach. I will craft an individual approach to learning that takes into consideration your child’s age, ability, personality and interests.

Music education can have a positive impact in the lives of young people academically, spiritually, physically and mentally. Music lessons can be a springboard for creativity, self expression and the practice of important life skills including accountability, the value of commitment, consistency, persistence, the power of intention…and let’s not forget FUN! My pledge to you is that your child will leave the lesson with a sense of accomplishment, feeling proud with a smile on their face.
