I am a freelance guitarist, singer, harmonica player and bandleader and I’ve spent over 20 years passing on what I’ve learned through my teaching practice. I’m well versed in many styles. The first half of my career involved touring and recording with major artists including Elvin Bishop, Maria Muldaur, Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Etta James, Norton Buffalo and others as well as working local weddings, parties and night clubs.

I launched my teaching career in 1994 when it was time to step away from touring. My teaching practice took on a life of its own and I found myself really enjoying it. My students did well and I was able to pick and choose the gigs I took. Since then I’ve led seminars on various styles, taught hundreds of individuals of all ages and levels, and kept my hand in the gigging scene. I’m also the Band Teacher at Kenwood School.

I teach all styles of guitar (with the exception of classical), harmonica, ukulele, voice and music theory.
